Summer vacations aren’t always relaxing! My Illustration for a Boston Globe essay. The author of the essay prefers to just stay HOME during the summer while everyone else clogs up the roads to the beaches and sweats out in the heat & humidity.
Although I’m looking forward to having some summer adventures this year, as a homebody & easily-sunburned-person I definitely sympathize!
Fashion Illustration done in sketchbook and painted in Photoshop
Today was interesting because I got around to talking to my professor about the true reason why I started to draw. He was surprised when I told him that I initially wanted to be a fashion designer/ illustrator so back in the day Burberry models were my favorite things to draw. It was funny to see his surprise, many artists are disgusted with “fashion arts” because they don’t consider it art in the first place. However I have always taken great joy in looking at hungry people in shiny clothes :P
This one started out as a fun sketch to pass the time in Drawing for Non Majors and it turned into this! She is supposed to be moody, I think short haired models are cool and they sure do stand out. I took a picture from MaxMara and created my own little fashion illustration. Tell me what you guys think ♥
Hey guys please help me by scoring my “Our Little Fox” design on Threadless!
